Compressor Performance Test

^ Tools Required
- J 22124-B Pressure Gage
- J 22124-91 Pressure Gage Adapter
- Or Equivalents

This test checks the current draw, pressure output and pressure leakdown of the compressor and may be done on the vehicle or bench.
1. Connect Ammeter, J 22124-B and J 22124-91.
2. Read ammeter.
3. Ammeter should read the current draw at 14 amperes. If the current draw exceeds 14 amperes, replace the Electronic Level Control (ELC) compressor assembly.
4. Allow pressure to reach 690 kPa (100 psi) and disconnect ammeter from power source.
5. Watch pressure gage for one minute.
6. Pressure should remain at 690 kPa (100 psi). If the pressure leaks down, replace the ELC compressor assembly.
