Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement

Instrument Panel (Pontiac):

I/P Nut Covers (Pontiac):

Remove or Disconnect
1. Sound insulators.
2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to "Disabling the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System."
3. I/P cluster.
4. Turn signal stalk.
5. Wiper stalk.
6. Tilt wheel lever.
7. Steering wheel.
8. I/P compartment.
9. I/P valance/defroster grille.
10. Screws to I/P carrier.
11. Instrument panel.

Install or Connect
1. Instrument panel.
2. Screws to I/P carrier.

Tighten
^ Instrument Panel screws to 2 Nm (17 lb in)

3. I/P valance/defroster grille.
4. I/P compartment.
5. Steering wheel.
6. Tilt wheel lever.
7. Wiper stalk.
8. Turn signal stalk.
9. I/P cluster.
10. Enable SIR system. Refer to "Disabling the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System."
11. Sound insulators.
