Output Shaft Assembly

^ Tools Required:
- J 8853-01 Collar Installer
- J 33369 Pilot
- J 33374 Bearing Installer
- J 41676 Bearing Installer
- Or Equivalents

^ Before assembling, apply oil to the thrust surfaces on all gears. Apply oil to all the bearing interior and race surfaces.

ASSEMBLE






1. Thrust washer, thrust bearing, needle bearing, 1st gear, inner and out ring and blocker ring for 1st gear.





2. Match the inserts of the sleeve and hub assembly with the grooves of the blocker ring and press the sleeve and hub assembly together with the collar using J 8853-01, pilot J 33369 and a press.

Important:





^ Note the direction of the 1st/2nd gear synchronizer when installing.
^ Before installing the sleeve and hub assembly, oil should be applied to the hub and collar interiors. After installation, apply ail to the collar exterior. Check to ensure that the insert springs do not interfere with the hub after installation.

3. Blocker ring and outer and inner ring for 2nd gear, needle bearing, 2nd gear, and the key on the key groove.





4. Apply oil to the 3rd/4th gear interior, match the key with the key groove and fit the key together with the rear bearing. Using J 33374 and a press, press bearing on shaft.
5. Press the 5th gear inner bearing race on to the shaft using J 33374 and a press.





6. Press the front bearing on the shaft using J 41676 and a press.
