Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement

Description:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Disable SIR system.
2. Defroster grille.
3. (Pontiac only) I/P Valance.
4. End caps.
5. Screws from under end caps.
6. Open I/P compartment.
7. Screws for glove box trim plate and accessory trim plate.

NOTICE: The screws attaching the bracket in step 8 are hidden. Make sure these screws are removed before attempting to remove the I/P trim.

8. Screws from bracket in the upper left corner of the glove box.

9. Accessory trim plate.
10. All hex head screws attaching I/P trim Pad.
11. I/P trim pad from I/P.

Install or Connect
1. Pad to I/P.
2. Hex head screws attaching trim pad to I/P.
3. Accessory trim plate.
4. Screws for accessory trim plate and glove box trim plate.
5. Screws through bracket in upper left corner of glove box.

NOTICE: Always make sure the screws for the bracket in step 5 are installed and torqued properly to avoid a rattle condition.

6. Screws under end caps.
7. End caps.
8. (Pontiac only) I/P Valance.
9. Defroster grille.
10. Enable SIR system.
