Power Output Diagnostic Mode

There is a Power Output Diagnostic Mode in the Multi-function Alarm Module that can be used to run a quick check on the operation of the Parasitic Power Control, the Courtesy Lamps Control, and Inadvertent Power Control outputs. It is activated after all of the following actions have been performed:

^ Close all doors.
^ Set Park Brake.
^ Turn Ignition Switch to "RUN" and, before 15 seconds pass, perform these steps:
- Open the RH front door.
- Cycle the Headlamp Switch from "OFF" to "PARK" three times.

During Normal operation (no trouble found), the Multi-function Alarm Module will flash the interior lamps until the Ignition Switch is turned to "OFF," and will then return to normal operation.
