Troubleshooting Hints
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS:NOTE: The Multi-Function Alarm Module will "go to sleep" 3 or 20 minutes after "key off," depending if the vehicle has traveled over 24 Km (15 miles). Until the Multi-Function Alarm Module "goes to sleep," it will draw 60-80ma. Once the Multi-Function Alarm Module "goes to sleep," the amperage draw will drop to 3-15ma.
1. Check ALARM Fuse and INT LAMP Fuse by visual inspection.
^ Refer to System Diagnosis.
^ check for poor connection at Ground G304.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check (refer to "General Troubleshooting Procedures."). Diagnostic Aids
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (refer to"General Troubleshooting Procedures,").
