Outlet Pipe

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Drain and recover coolant.
3. Exhaust manifold heat shield.
4. Cover to outlet pipe bolt through exhaust manifold runners.
5. Raise and support vehicle.





6. Radiator hose from outlet pipe.
7. Outlet pipe to oil pan bolt.
8. Cover to outlet pipe bolt.
9. Thermostat.
10. Clean:
^ Outlet pipe mating surface.
^ Cover mating surface.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Thermostat.
2. Cover to outlet pipe bolt. Tighten bolts to 14 Nm (124 inch lbs.).
3. Outlet pipe to oil pan. Tighten pipe to oil pan to 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).
4. Radiator hose to outlet pipe.
5. Lower vehicle.
6. Cover to outlet pipe bolt through exhaust manifold runner.
7. Exhaust manifold heat shield.
8. Fill cooling system and inspect for leaks.
