Park Lock Adjustment

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Steering wheel and covers.
^ Ensure that the locking tab of the park lock cable end is fully attached into the column housing. Assemble cable if necessary or replace cable if locking tab is damaged.

ADJUST
1. Remove console.
2. Place shift lever into "Park" position. Move the locking Button on the shifter end of the park lock cable adjuster body to the "Unlock" position.
3. Turn ignition key to the full "Run" position where the instrument panel lights are on (illuminated), but the engine is not started.
4. Compress the adjuster body spring fully and then release. This ensures the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) Solenoid is fully activated.
5. Move the locking button on the shifter end of the park lock cable adjuster body to the "Lock" position.
6. Turn ignition key to the "Off-Lock" position.
7. Complete a Park Lock System Check again to ensure proper operation. Repeat steps 1-7 if further adjustment is needed.
