Drive Link Stretch Check #1

1. Grasp the bottom section of the link assembly (507) midway between the sprockets. Push toward the top section and remove all of the slack.
2. Using a pencil or other marker, place a mark on the case (15) even with the bottom of the chain.
3. Push the bottom section of the link assembly (507) down and away from the top section.
4. Place a second mark on the case (15) even with the bottom of the chain.
5. Measure the distance between the two marks.
6. If the measured distance exceeds 22.2 mm (7/8 in), replace the link assembly.
