A/C System Cleaning Procedure

A single application of the Goodwrench Air Conditioning System Deodorizer will remove odor from the air conditioning system. However, installation of a Delayed Blower Control Module is recommended.

NOTE: Do not operate the A/C compressor at any time during this procedure.

1. Make sure the plenum duct that draws in air from the outside is clear of all debris.
2. Dry the evaporator core by starting the engine and turning the blower on HIGH, with the temperature set on maximum heat for 10 minutes then turn engine off.
3. Shake deodorizer spray can well and insert extension tube into nozzle on can.
4. Remove the blower motor resistor.
5. Start engine and turn blower on HIGH.
6. Using safety goggles and latex gloves, insert extension tube into resistor hole past the mark on the tube. Spray with short bursts, dispensing contents of can over a 2-3 minute period.
7. Turn the engine off, let sit for 3-5 minutes.
8. Start engine and run blower on HIGH for 15-20 minutes to dry the evaporator.
