Accelerator Cable Bracket

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the accelerator cable splash shield attaching screws and splash shield from accelerator cable bracket.
2. Remove accelerator, cruise and transmission cables, (If so equipped).
3. Remove accelerator cable bracket attaching bolts/nut (1) (2) and accelerator cable bracket (3).


Installation Procedure
1. Install the accelerator cable bracket (3) with attaching nuts/bolt (1) (2).

Notice: The accelerator bracket must be aligned with the accelerator cam to prevent cable wear, which could result in cable breakage.

2. Install the top bolt to bracket.
3. Install the bolt and nut to bracket.
^ Tighten the top bolt first.
^ Tighten bolt and nuts to 25 Nm (18 lb. ft.).
