Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the spark plug wires.
2. Remove the screws (1) securing the coil (2) to the ignition control module (3).
3. Remove the coil (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Attach the coil assembly (2) to the ignition control module (3).
2. Install the attaching screws (1).
Tighten
^ Tighten the screws to 4-5 Nm (40 lb. in.).
3. Connect the spark plug wires.
