Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the spark plug wires.
2. Remove the screws securing the coil(s) to ignition control module.
3. Remove the coil(s) from the ignition control module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the coil(s) to the ignition control module.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Reinstall the screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4-5 N.m (40 lb. in.).

3. Connect the spark plug wires.
