Instrument Panel (IP) - End Bracket Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Service Precautions Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the instrument panel (IP) carrier.
3. Remove the parking brake pedal assembly.
4. Remove the fasteners from the left IP end bracket to the hinge pillar.
5. Remove the left IP end bracket.




6. Remove the fasteners from the right IP end bracket to the hinge pillar.
7. Remove the left IP end bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the left IP end bracket to the hinge pillar.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the fasteners to the left IP end bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 50 N.m (37 lb in).




3. Install the right IP end bracket to the hinge pillar.
4. Install the fasteners to the right IP end bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 50 N.m (35 lb in).

5. Install the parking brake pedal assembly.
6. Install the IP carrier.
7. Enable the SIR system.
