Multifunction, Turn Signal Switch

Removal Procedure
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Air Bags and Seat Belts.





2. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
3. Remove the tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle.
4. Remove the two lower TORX(R) screws from the lower shroud.





5. Remove the lower shroud.
- Tilt the shroud down and slide back to disengage the locking tabs.
- Remove the shroud protector.





6. Remove the two TORX(R) head screws from the upper shroud.
7. Remove the upper shroud.
8. Remove the IP trim panel.





9. Remove the two TORX(R) bolts from the multi-function switch.
10. Disconnect the multi-function switch electrical connections.
11. Remove the multi-function switch.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the multi-function switch and the two TORX(R) bolts.
Tighten the TORX(R) bolts to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.).
2. Route the electrical harness and connect electrical connections.
3. Install the IP trim panel.





4. Install the upper shroud and install TORX(R) bolts
Tighten the TORX(R) bolts to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.).





5. Install the lower shroud.
- Ensure that the slots on the lower shroud engage with the tabs on the upper shroud.
- Tilt the lower shroud up and snap the shrouds together.





6. Install the two TORX(R) bolts.
Tighten the TORX(R) bolts to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.).
7. Install steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
8. Install tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle.
9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
