Rear Side Door Window Replacement
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Lower the window all the way down.
2. Remove the door trim panel.
3. Remove the window inner belt molding.
4. Remove the window outer belt molding.
5. Run the window to the fully closed position.
6. Tape the window in the closed position.
7. Peel down the upper portion of the water deflector, to gain access to the window clamp fasteners. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.
8. Loosen the window regulator to window clamp fasteners four revolutions.
9. Lower the window regulator to the full open position.
10. Remove the window by lifting up, flexing forward, and then out.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the window down into the door assembly making sure the front of the window is in the front run channel and the rear is outboard of the division post.
2. Grasp the window at the top.
3. Shift the window forward to snap the rear of the window into the division post.
4. Locate the window into the two window regulator to window clamps.
5. Install the window outer belt molding.
6. Install the window inner belt molding.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Important: Start the vehicle to ensure maximum power to the window motor. This is required to fully seat the window for adjustment.
7. Raise the window to the fully closed position.
Tighten the window clamp fasteners to 11 N.m (98 lb in).
8. Install water deflector.
9. Install the door trim panel.
