Retained Accessory Power (RAP) Circuit

The dash integration module (DIM) monitors and determines the ignition switch status (OFF, ACCESSORY, etc.) When the DIM determines that the ignition switch has been turned to the OFF position it sends a class 2 serial data message to the radio, drivers door module (DDM), and rear integration module (RIM) to enable RAP. After approximately 10 minutes the DIM sends another class 2 serial data message to disable RAP.

The DIM receives door status (OPEN, CLOSED.) from the DDM by a class 2 serial data line message. When the DIM determines that a passenger compartment door has been opened it sends out a class 2 serial data message to disable RAP, regardless of the elapsed time.
