Liftgate Lock Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the window panel.
2. Remove the rear compartment trim, as needed.




3. Remove the secondary lock retainer from the actuator (2).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator (3).
5. Remove the bolt (1).
6. Remove the actuator from the latch (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the actuator.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector to the actuator (3).
4. Install the secondary lock retainer (2).
5. Install the rear compartment trim.
