Weld Stud Replacement
If during a repair procedure, a weld stud becomes damaged, the following procedure may be used to replace the weld stud:
Caution: Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.
1. Drill a hole into the same location as the damaged weld stud.
2. Drive a screw into the drilled hole.
3. Use screws to retain clips and moldings in the same manner used with weld studs.
Important: Apply the proper anti-corrosion materials as necessary.
4. If the body surface becomes marred, repair and/or refinish to provide a smooth surface. Refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair in Paint/Coatings.
