Change Engine Oil

The OIL CHANGE light comes on for a 3 second bulb check when the vehicle is first started. The light stays on for 60 seconds after the vehicle is started the oil needs to be changed. The light may indicate to change the oil sooner than suggested in the maintenance schedule. The light comes on when the system predicts that the oil's remaining useful life is almost up. To reset the oil life monitor perform the following:
1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
2. Push and hold the TRIP/OIL RESET button for 12 seconds.
3. The OIL CHANGE light will start to flash to confirm the system is reset.
4. The reset is complete when the OIL CHANGE light goes out.
