Noise Diagnosis - Sun Roof (Folding Top Creak)





Symptom

Creak sound coming from the #1 bow.

Possible Cause

The #1 bow to side rail bolt is loose.

Diagnosis

Check torque on the side rail bolt.

Corrective Action
* Apply blue LOCTITE(R) to the side rail bolt.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

* Tighten the side rail bolt to specification.

Tighten the side rail bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
