Receiver Dryer Tube Replacement - Outlet
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging. Service and Repair
2. Remove the bolt and the outlet tube (5) from the receiver-dryer.
3. Disconnect the receiver-dryer outlet tube from the evaporator inlet tube (7).
4. Remove the receiver-dryer outlet tube from the vehicle
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Coat new O-rings with a mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
2. Install the O-rings to the receiver-dryer outlet tube.
3. Position the receiver-dryer outlet tube behind the radiator core support brace.
4. Secure the receiver-dryer outlet tube in the condenser fan retaining clip.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Connect the receiver-dryer outlet tube to the evaporator inlet tube (7).
Tighten
Tighten the receiver-dryer outlet to the evaporator inlet pipe fitting to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
6. Install the outlet tube (5) to the receiver-dryer. Secure the outlet tube with the bolt.
7. Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning (A/C) system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging. Service and Repair
8. Operate the A/C system, and test the system for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing. Leak Testing
