Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)

The Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) are standard equipment on all models. The DRL indicator on the instrument cluster illuminates if the DRL system is active. Operating through the low beams at an output lower than normal, the DRL system operates under the following conditions:
^ If the engine is running
^ If the parking brake is not applied
^ If the combination switch lever is in the OFF position or in the park lamps position

The DRL system consists of a DRL control module (2). The DRL control module (2) is under the instrument panel, and between the brake pedal (4) and the accelerator pedal.
