Turn Signal Flasher: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: The turn signal lamp flasher is on the top of the junction block beneath the left side of the instrument panel.

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Handling Caution in Service and Precations.




1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
2.1. The 2 plastic retainers
2.2. The left hinge pillar trim (3)




3. Remove the bolt (2), and lower the junction block (1) in order to access the turn signal lamp flasher.




4. Remove the turn signal lamp flasher (1) by pulling the flasher from the junction block (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Push the turn signal lamp flasher (1) into the junction block (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precations.




2. Reposition the junction block (1). Secure the junction block with the bolt (2).

Tighten
Tighten the junction block bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




3. Install the left hinge pillar trim (3). Secure the trim with the 2 plastic retainers.
4. Enable the SIR system.
