Discharge Hose Replacement
DISCHARGE HOSE REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging. Service and Repair
2. Remove the bolt and the discharge hose from the compressor.
3. Remove the nut and the discharge hose at the condenser block fitting (4).
4. Remove the discharge hose from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Lubricate new O-rings with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
2. Install the O-rings to the discharge hose.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Connect the discharge hose to the condenser block fitting (4). Secure the discharge hose with the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 9.8 N.m (86.74 lb in).
4. Install the discharge hose to the compressor.
Secure the discharge hose with the bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 9.8 N.m (86.74 lb in).
5. Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning (A/C) system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging. Service and Repair
6. Operate the A/C system, and test the system for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing. Leak Testing
