Key Reminder Switch: Description and Operation
The DOME fuse applies battery voltage at all times to the ignition key warning switch. When you insert the ignition key into the
ignition cylinder, the ignition key warning switch closes, and sends a voltage signal to the audio alarm module. If you open the LH front door, the LH front door jamb closes and provides a ground signal to the audio alarm module. When the 2 signals are received, the audio alarm module activates the ignition key warning alarm (about
2 pulses per second). The alarm continues to sound until you remove the ignition key from the ignition cylinder, or you close the LH front door. The alarm stops if the audio alarm module receives an ignition ON signal from the IG-COIL fuse when the LH front door is open.
