Rear Side Door Window Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the rear side door trim. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
2. Remove the rear door water deflector (2) from the rear door.
3. Lower the rear door window (3) completely.
4. Gently pry and remove the rear door rear filler from the door.
5. Remove the 3 screws and the rear door rear molding (1).
6. Remove the 3 screws and the rear door front molding from the door.
7. Unclip the outer sealing strip (7) from the door.
8. Loosen the upper edge of the weather strip along the upper edge of the window channel.
9. Remove the 2 screws (3) that retain the rear door window.
10. Remove the rear door window from the door.
11. Remove the rear door window (3) from the lower channel (6).
Installation Procedure
1. Coat the lower sash of the rear door window (6) with soapy water in order to ease the installation of the rear door window (3) to the lower sash (6).
2. Install the rear door window (3) to the lower sash (6).
3. Install the rear door window (3) to the rear door.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Important: Do not overtighten the rear door window screws.
4. Secure the window with the 2 screws (3).
Tighten the rear door window screws to 5 Nm (44 lb in).
5. Inspect the rear door window for the correct front-to-rear position and for the correct left-to-right position. Adjust the window if necessary.
6. Install the outer sealing strip (7) to the door.
7. Install the rear door front molding to the door. Secure the molding with the 3 screws.
8. Install the rear door rear molding (1) to the door. Secure the molding with the 3 screws.
9. Install the rear door rear filler.
10. Apply adhesive to the back of the rear door water deflector (2).
11. Install the rear door water deflector (2) to the door.
12. Install the rear side door trim. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
