Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement (4 Door)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat assembly. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).




2. Remove the following components from the recliner mechanism (2):

1. 1 screw
2. The recliner handle (3)

3. Remove the following components from each side of the seat:

1. 2 screws
2. The seat cushion side panel




4. Remove the following components from the seat:

1. 2 bolts
2. 1 nut
3. The outboard seat adjuster (8)

5. Remove the following components from the seat:

1. 2 bolts
2. The inboard seat adjuster (9)




6. Remove the inboard seat back hinge arm screw (2) from the seat assembly.




7. Remove the bolt that secures the recliner mechanism to the seat cushion.
8. Remove the seat cushion (7) from the seat assembly.




9. Remove the hog rings (1).

Important: The seat's foam pad is bonded to the seat frame. Use care when removing the cover.


10. Remove the seat cushion cover (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the seat cushion cover (10) to the seat cushion (7).




2. Using hog ring pliers, secure the seat cushion cover (2) with the new hog rings (1).
3. Install the seat cushion to the seat assembly.




4. Secure the seat cushion to the seat assembly with the inboard seat back hinge arm screw (2).





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

5. Install the recliner mechanism to the seat cushion. Secure the mechanism with 1 mounting bolt.

Tighten the recliner mechanism mounting bolt to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).

6. Install the inboard seat adjuster (9) to the seat. Secure the adjuster with 2 mounting bolts.
Install the outboard seat adjuster (8) to the seat. Secure the adjuster with the nut and 2 mounting bolts.

Tighten the inboard and outboard seat adjuster mounting nut and bolts to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).

7. Install the seat cushion side panels (5) to the seat assembly. Secure each side panel with 2 screws.




8. Install the recliner handle (3) to the recliner mechanism (2). Secure the handle with 1 screw.
9. Install the front seat assembly. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
