Engine Oil Dip Stick - Dip Stick Tube: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the engine oil level indicator from the guide tube (1).
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Remove the one bolt and guide tube from the oil pump (2).
4. Remove the guide tube oil seal (3) from the oil pump (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Install a new guide tube oil seal to the oil pump (2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. install the guide tube to the oil pump. Secure the guide tube with one bolt.
Tighten the guide tube bolt to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Install the engine oil level indicator to the guide tube.
5. Start the engine and check for oil leaks around the guide tube.
