30. Cylinder Head Disassemble

- J 8062 Valve Spring Compressor
- J 37979 Valve Spring Compressor Adapter
- J 36017Valve Guide Seal Remover

Important: Keep the valve train components together, and identify the components so that you can correctly install the components in the original position.

Caution: Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.





1. Compress the valve spring. Use the J 8062.





2. Remove the valve keepers.
3. Slowly release the J 8062 from the valve spring assembly.
4. Remove the retainer (1).
5. Remove the spring.

Notice: Do not damage the valve guide. Remove any burrs that have formed at the key groove by chamfering the valve stem with an oil stone or a file.

6. Remove the valve seal. Use the J 36017.
7. Remove the spring seats.
8. Remove the valve.
9. Remove the remaining valves.
