43. Crankshaft Front Cover Oil Seal Installation

1. Lubricate the new front oil seal (1) of the crankshaft with Chassis Grease GM P/N 1051344 or with an equivalent.

Important: Tap the oil seal in until the surface is flush with the retainer edge of the crankshaft front oil seal.

2. Using a hammer, lightly tap the crankshaft front oil seal into place.
