50. Camshaft Installation

1. Apply clean engine oil to the following components:
^ Cams Journals
^ The oil seal
2. Install the camshaft to the cylinder head.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. After applying the engine oil to the camshaft housing and to the housing bolts, tighten the bolts in the sequence that is shown.
Tighten the camshaft housing bolts to 1 Nm (97 inch lbs.).
