Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the ashtray (7) from the ashtray guide by performing the following steps:

1. Depress the spring loaded tab.
2. Pull the ashtray (7) rearward.

2. Remove the 4 screws that retain the IP center trim bezel (4).
3. Pull the IP center trim bezel (4) forward in order to gain access to the cigar lighter electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the cigar lighter electrical connector (2).
5. Remove the IP center trim bezel (4) from the vehicle.
6. Remove the ashtray guide (7), if necessary. Refer to Ashtray Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Remove the cigar lighter (5,6), if necessary.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the cigar lighter (5,6), if removed.
2. Install the ashtray guide (7), if removed. Refer to Ashtray Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Connect the cigar lighter electrical connector (2).
4. Install the IP center trim bezel (4). Secure the trim bezel with the 4 screws.
5. Slide the ashtray (7) into the ashtray guide until the spring loaded tab engages.
