Backup Lamps

The backup lamps are incorporated into the tail lamps. The backup lamps operate with the ignition in the ON position. On a vehicle with a manual transaxle, placing the manual transaxle shift lever in R activates the backup lamps. On a vehicle with an automatic transaxle, placing the automatic transaxle control lever in R activates the backup lamps.

The following switches complete the backup lamps circuit and will turn ON the backup lamps:

^ The transmission range switch on a vehicle with an automatic transaxle
