Rear Lower

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the coil spring. Refer to Coil Spring Replacement.
2. Remove the two suspension arm front mounting bracket bolts (3).
3. Remove the suspension arm rear through bolt and nut. Remove the suspension arm (4) from the vehicle.
4. Inspect the suspension arm and the bushings (2) for the following conditions. Replace defective parts as necessary.
- Cracks
- Deterioration
- Wear

Installation Procedure





1. Install the suspension arm (4) to the vehicle. Secure at the rear with the through bolt and nut.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the suspension arm front mounting bracket to the body of the vehicle. Secure the suspension arm with two mounting bolts (3).
- Tighten the suspension arm rear through bolt and nut to 40 Nm (29 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the suspension arm front mounting bracket bolts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the coil spring. Refer to Coil Spring Replacement.
