Removal Procedure1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the two nuts (6), the two washers (7) and the two cushions (8) from the stabilizer links at the control arms.
3. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
- The four bolts (5)
- The two mounting brackets (4)
- The stabilizer shaft (2)
4. Remove the two nuts (10) and the stabilizer shaft links from the stabilizer shaft (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the stabilizer shaft links to the stabilizer shaft (2). Secure the links with the two nuts (10). Do not tighten the nuts fully.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft (2) to the vehicle. Secure the shaft with the two mounting brackets (4) and four bolts (5). Do not tighten the bolts fully.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Important: Align the color painted marks on the stabilizer shaft to the inside of the mount bushings in order to correctly center the stabilizer shaft.
3. Install the following components to the stabilizer shaft links at the control arms:
- Two link cushions (8)
- The two link washers (7)
- The two link nuts (6)
- Tighten the stabilizer shaft mounting bracket bolts to 25 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the stabilizer shaft link nuts to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the stabilizer shaft link-to-stabilizer shaft nuts to 50 Nm (38 ft. lbs.).
4. Lower the vehicle.
