Fixed Antenna Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
The fixed antenna is designed to withstand most car washes without damage. The fixed antenna cannot be adjusted up or down. If the mast becomes slightly bent, straighten the mast by hand. The antenna requires replacement if severely bent.




1. Remove the antenna mast from the base.




2. Remove the rear compartment trim.
3. Remove the base to the panel brace screws.
4. Disconnect the lead-in (2) from the base assembly (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the lead-in (2) to the base (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the base to panel brace screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Install the rear compartment trim.




4. Connect the antenna mast to the base.
