Front Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement

Front Wheel Bearing/Hub

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove the wheel drive shaft. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.
4. Remove the brake rotor.
5. Remove the antilock electrical connector from the retaining bracket.
6. Remove the hub and bearing assembly bolts.
7. Remove the hub and bearing assembly from the steering knuckle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the hub and bearing assembly to the steering knuckle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the hub and bearing assembly bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the hub and bearing assembly bolts to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the brake rotor.
4. Install the wheel drive shaft. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.
5. Install the tire and wheel assemblies.
6. Check the front wheel alignment. Refer to Measuring Wheel Alignment.
