B2802
Diagnostic Chart:
Schematic:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The Body Control Module (BCM) is connected to the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver by the keyless entry serial data circuit. This circuit is the link for communication between the two modules.
CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
The DTC can run at any time.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
^ The BCM detects a short to ground in the communication circuit.
^ The condition above must be present for more than 0.3 seconds.
ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The BCM stores DTC B2802 in memory.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
^ The condition for selling the DTC is no longer present and the scan tool Clear DTCs function is used.
^ The BCM automatically clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
^ Thoroughly inspect the wiring and the connectors. An incomplete inspection of the wiring and the connectors may result in a misdiagnosis, causing a part replacement with a reappearance of the malfunction.
^ If an intermittent malfunction exists, refer to Testing for intermittent and Poor Connections in Diagrams.
TEST DESCRIPTION
The number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the diagnostic table.
3. This step checks to see if the Keyless Entry Serial Data circuit is at 4-5 V.
