Hood Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the hood.
2. Remove the hood rear side seal covering the hood hinge.
3. Remove the hood assist rods, if equipped.




4. Mark the position of the hinge on the fender.
5. Remove the hinge to fender bolts.
6. Remove the hinge from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the hood hinge to the alignment marks.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the hood hinge to fender bolts.

Tighten the hood hinge to fender bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).

3. Install the hood.
4. Install the hood assist rods.
5. Install the hood rear side seal.
6. Align the hood. Refer to Hood Adjustment.
