Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the rear compartment lid lock assembly latch.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid applique, Oldsmobile only.




3. Remove the rivets.
4. For Oldsmobile models, remove the rear compartment lid lock cylinder and the shim.

Installation Procedure




1. For Oldsmobile models, install the rear compartment lid lock cylinder and the shim.
2. Install the rivets.




3. Install the rear compartment lid applique, Oldsmobile only.
4. Install the rear compartment lid lock assembly latch. Ensure that the latch is fully seated. This action will engage the locking tabs.
