Front Fender Replacement

Removal Procedure

Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

1. Raise the hood.
2. Tape the edges of the fender in order to protect the fender from scratching.
3. Remove the hood hinge.
4. Remove the front wheelhouse panel splash shield.
5. Remove the front wheelhouse panel liner.
6. Remove the bumper fascia from the front fender.




7. Remove the front fender rear brace bolt.




8. Remove the front fender rear bracket bolt from the fender.




9. Remove the front fender front brace bolt from the body.




10. Remove the front fender lower retaining bolts.




11. Remove the front fender upper retaining bolts.
12. Remove the front fender.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the front fender.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the front fender upper retaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).




3. Install the front fender lower retaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).




4. Install the front fender front brace bolt to the body.

Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).




5. Install the front fender rear center bracket to the front fender bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




6. Install the front fender rear brace bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

7. Install the bumper fascia to the front fender.
8. Install the front wheelhouse panel liner.
9. Install the front wheelhouse panel splash shield.
10. Install the hood hinge.
11. Remove the tape from the edges of the fender.
12. Close the hood.
