Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement (Pontiac)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the steering column upper trim cover to access the lower screws to the instrument panel cluster trim plate.




2. Remove the lower screws from the instrument panel cluster trim plate.




3. Remove the upper screws from the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
4. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate from the instrument panel.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the instrument panel cluster trim plate tabs to the retainers on the instrument panel cluster.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the upper screws to the instrument panel cluster trim plate.

Tighten the instrument panel cluster trim plate upper screws to 2 N.m(18 lb in).




3. Install the lower screws to the instrument panel cluster trim plate.

Tighten the instrument panel cluster trim plate upper screws to 2 N.m(18 lb in).




4. Install the steering column upper trim cover.
