Lock System Replacement - Rear Compartment

The rear compartment lid lock attaches to the rear compartment lid. Perform the following adjustments at the rear compartment lid lock striker:

1. The proper lid lock operation
2. The lock-to-striker engagement
3. The rear compartment lid closing effort

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear compartment lid lock cable assembly latch.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector, if equipped.




3. Remove the bolts.
4. Remove the rear compartment lid lock assembly.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear compartment lid lock assembly.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector, if equipped.
4. Install the rear compartment lid lock cable assembly latch.
