Front Seat Lumbar Support Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front bucket seat from the vehicle.
2. Pull back the seat back cover in order to gain access to the lumbar plate. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover Replacement.




3. Disconnect the lumbar plate cable from the lumbar plate.
Compress the lumbar plate and with an assistant then disconnect the cable.




4. Remove the lumbar support knob using a small flat-bladed tool to release the retainer then pull off.




5. Pull back the front bucket seat cushion cover in order to gain access to the lumbar support cable and control. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement.
6. Remove the screws from the lumbar support housing.




7. Remove the lumbar support cable from the side of the bucket seat cushion frame.




8. Remove the lumbar support cable and housing from the bucket seat cushion frame.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the lumbar support cable and housing to the bucket seat cushion frame.




2. Install the lumbar support cable to the side of the bucket seat cushion frame.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




3. Install the screws to the lumbar support housing.

Tighten the screws to the lumbar support housing to 3 N.m (27 lb in).




4. Connect the lumbar plate cable to the lumbar plate.
Compress the lumbar plate and with an assistant then connect the cable.
5. Pull back the front bucket seat cushion cover. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement.
6. Pull back the front seat back cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover Replacement.




7. Install the lumbar support knob, by lining up the splines and pressing into place until fully seated.
8. Install the front bucket seat in the vehicle.
