Rear Folding Seat Back Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the rear window trim panel.
2. Open the rear compartment.
3. Release the retainer tabs on the seat back latch pull guide using a small flat-bladed tool from inside the rear compartment.




4. Remove the seat back latch pull guide from the rear shelf panel, from inside of the car.




5. Disconnect the cables housing retainer from the strikers retainer clips.
6. Disconnect the cables from the striker rotating the cable up and out from the striker.
7. Remove the split folding seat back latch from the rear shelf.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the seat back latch pull guide to the rear shelf panel, routing the tethers through the rear shelf.




2. Install the seat back latch pull guide to the rear shelf panel, pressing into place until fully seated.




3. Connect the cables to the striker rotating the end cable down and into the hole in the latch.
4. Connect the cables housing retainer to the strikers retainer clips, pressing into place until fully seated.
5. Install the rear window trim panel.
