Exhaust Crossover Pipe: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the air cleaner duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Powertrain Management.
2. Remove the heat shield bolts.
3. Remove the heat shields.





4. Remove the crossover pipe bolts.
5. Remove the crossover pipe.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the crossover pipe.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the crossover bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the heat shields.
4. Install the heat shield bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
5. Install the air cleaner duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Powertrain Management.
6. Inspect for exhaust leaks.
