Brake Light Switch: Adjustments
Notice: Proper stoplamp switch adjustment is essential. Improper stoplamp switch adjustment may cause brake drag, heat buildup and excessive brake lining wear.1. Remove the driver side instrument panel insulator.
2. Turn the switch 90 degrees counterclockwise in order to unlock the switch.
3. Pull the brake pedal upward against the internal pedal stop.
4. Position the switch until there is 0.0 - 2.0 mm (0.0 - 0.078 inch) between the end of the switch housing (3) and the brake pedal (4).
5. Turn the switch 90 degrees clockwise in order to lock the switch.
6. Install the driver side instrument panel insulator.
