Parking Lamp: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution In Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disengage the release tabs upward in order to release the ball from the socket (2).
3. Remove the headlamp assembly (3) from the body mounting.

CAUTION: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in Service Precautions.




4. Remove the sockets/bulbs from the headlamp assembly.
5. Twist the socket and pull outward.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the sockets/bulbs into the headlamp assembly.
Push the socket inward and twist until the socket is retained.




2. Install the headlamp assembly (3) into the mounting position (ball and socket fitting).
3. Engage the sliding tabs (2) in order to secure the headlamp assembly (3) into position.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Inspect the headlamp assembly for proper operation.
