Accelerator Controls Cable Bracket Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the accelerator and cruise control cables from the throttle body lever.
2. Depress the tangs and remove the accelerator and cruise control cables from the accelerator cable bracket.




3. If applicable disconnect the cruse control cable from the throttle lever and accelerator bracket.




4. Remove the nuts and bolts holding the accelerator cable bracket to the throttle body.
5. Remove the accelerator cable bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the accelerator cable bracket to the throttle body.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the nuts and bolts.

Tighten
^ Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
^ Tighten the bolts to 13 N.m (115 lb in).




3. Connect the accelerator cable into the accelerator cable bracket.
4. Connect the accelerator cable cross slug to the throttle body slots.




5. If applicable connect the cruse control cable to the throttle lever and accelerator bracket.
